Our hearts are heavy as we share that our founder, mentor and friend, Dr. Lester Lehr, passed away on April 10, 2026. Les was a true visionary who founded this community ensemble and others. His dedication, passion, and leadership have left an indelible mark on the Sacramento Symphonic Winds and music in the greater Sacramento Region. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
Our upcoming concert on May 10, 2026 will be performed in Dr. Lehr’s memory.
