Our October 6, 2024, concert marked a move to California State University, Sacramento, Capistrano Concert Hall from El Camino High School Center for the Arts. Dr. Morse, members of our Board of Directors, and other Sac Winds members received positive feedback on the program, the performance, and the concert hall.
Many thanks to Dr. Morse, the crew at CSUS, Kari Zimny, president, and the Board for their work managing the logistics of the move and our first season concert in this venue. Special thanks to our Box Office Volunteers and Ushers, Peggy Adams, Cindy Miller, Donna Miller, Jeff Wemmer, and Sandi Wemmer for helping our patrons be comfortable in this new space.
Thank you to our long- and short-term substitute players for helping fill out our sections and complete our sound. Special thanks to Susan Hamre for playing piano and celeste and to our guest artist Dr. Bev Wesner-Hoehn for joining us on harp.
