Capital Campaign

Since its founding in 2002, SSW has rehearsed at various public school music rooms. The larger percussion instruments that are essential to the music SSW rehearses and performs was acquired through borrowing or renting.

SSW is now faced with purchasing their own concert percussion equipment, including timpani, mallet instruments, cymbals, and various drums. The total cost for the needed equipment is $25,000.

A "Capital Campaign" has been established to raise funds for this tremendous endeavor and SSW is actively seeking donations in any amount to support the campaign. The ensemble incurs many costs throughout a concert season, including the costs of maintaining its music library, setting-up various concert sites, printing programs and posters--these to cite just a few. These costs are paid by monies gathered by donations from the local community, by concert sponsors, and occasionally by band members.
